Mati's Matches Inc. Privacy Policy

This is a legal document which sets out how Mati's Matches Inc., ("Mati") handles data which identifies you (the "Member"). You should read it in conjunction with the Mati's Matches Inc.'s Membership Agreement (the "Agreement"), of which this Privacy Policy forms part.

Mati protects the privacy of the Members' personal information. This Privacy Policy describes the privacy practices Mati adheres to in the course of providing Mati's Services in compliance with the data protection laws which apply in Canada. If Mati changes this Privacy Policy, Mati will notify you.

If you have questions or concerns regarding this Privacy Policy, you should discuss such questions with Mati prior to signing the Agreement.


The Principles

1. The principles governing Mati's Privacy Policy are as follows:

1.1. Accountability: Mati is accountable for the personal
information it collects, uses, retains and discloses in the course of providing Mati's Services.

1.2. Identifying Purposes: Mati will explain the purposes for which the information is being used at the time of collection and will only use the collected information for those purposes.

1.3. Consent: Mati will obtain the Member's express or implied consent when it collects, uses, or discloses a Member's personal information.

1.4. Limiting Collection: Mati limits the collection of personal information to only the amount and type that is reasonably necessary to provide Mati's Services.

1.5. Limiting Use, Disclosure and Retention: Mati uses personal information of a Member for only the identified purposes, and does not disclose it to third parties unless a Member consents to the alternative use or disclosure.

1.6. Accuracy: Mati keeps personal information as provided by the Members in the active files accurate and up-to-date.

1.7. Safeguards: Mati uses physical, organizational, and technological safeguards to protect personal information of the Members from unauthorized access or disclosure.

1.8. Openness: Mati informs the Members and trains its employees about the Privacy Policy and procedures.

1.9. Individual Access: A Member of Mati has a right to access personal information held by Mati and to challenge its accuracy if need.


2. The Information Firm Gathers and Tracks

2.1 When a Member register for Mati's Services, a Member provides name, gender, email address, and various other items of information about him or her ("Registration Information"). This information is available to a Member, and capable of being changed, through communication with Mati.

Sharing and Use of Information

3.1 Mati, its affiliates, directors, officers and employees, will not supply a Member's personal information to a third party for commercial exploitation, unless a Member agrees to permit Mati to do so; and the only circumstances in which Mati will provide any of a Member's personal information to a third party for non-commercial purposes are those when a third party made a legally-compliant request for information disclosure.

3.2 Registration Information. Some or all of the Registration Information provided by a Member will be made available to other Members in response to searches they make through Mati's Services. A Member's name and email address will be made available in this way.

3.3 Changes in Mati's business. If all of the assets which Mati uses to provide Mati's Services (or substantially all of them) are acquired by a third party, Mati may transfer personal information Mati obtained from a Member to that party.

3.4 Place of processing. The personal information collected by Mati is held on and processed in the office situated in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
